Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 will be played at 12 venues over 54 days in India.As of 4 April 2012 to 27 mayo 2012 there will be 72 games of thefifth season of the IPL. The preliminary program has nine franchises (teams) to play in this fifth edition.

Apart from the stars of Bollywood, "opening Nite 'will also feature a performance artist of international leadership, said a statement from the IPL.
The opening ceremony will begin at 7:30 pm, however, the venue doors will open to the public from 5:00 pm.
The event will also feature all the captains of the teams have nine the Spirit of PromiseMCC Cricket, who has been on display since the start of the competition in 2008.

Under the new schedule, Delhi Daredevils now clash with Deccan Chargers on April 19 instead of April 14 in the Shah Kotla stadium Ferozh.
The qualifier of a play-off game will feature teams that finished the regular season in first and second place, while the tie will play-off side that finished the regular season in the third and fourth place.
As previously announced, the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will host the Heat 2 play-off match and final.
